Ed Bilsky swings for home runs and pledges

From 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on May 5, there will be more in the air at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ than just spring: In support of ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ’s Moving Forward capital campaign, Ed Bilsky, Ph.D., vice president for Research and Scholarship, founding director of the Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences, will be batting for bucks on the Biddeford Campus softball field in the 2015 Home Run Derby Fundraiser.

Bilsky will be taking pledges for any dollar amount per home run that he hits over the fence, and pledgees will also have the opportunity to enter a contest to guess the distance of the longest home run that he hits. The winner will receive a unique ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ gift, handcrafted by Bilsky, from the wood of a hundred year-old tree from the Biddeford Campus.

The entire ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ community is invited to the event, which will feature a cookout as well as participation from ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ athletes, including the women’s softball team and the men and women’s soccer teams.
