First-year residence halls
First-year residents live in Avila, Assisi, Padua, Siena, Featherman, and Frederick Halls. First-year halls are arranged in corridors with community bath facilities and opportunities for single-sex and co-ed floors. Bedrooms are double or triple occupancy. Upper-class Residence Halls
Upper-class students live in Champlain, East, West, Sokokis Halls, and Frederick Hall. These halls consist of semi-private suites and traditional doubles. Champlain Hall offers suites of double-occupancy rooms with extra-long twin beds for four or six people. East and West Halls’ suites each contain four single-occupancy rooms with full-sized beds. Sokokis, our newest hall, offers two suite styles, each with extra-long twin beds, four single rooms or one double and two single rooms. Frederick Hall offers traditional double rooms in a small residence hall setting. Learn more about each hall and view floor plans below under .

Explore Residence Hall Styles
Champlain Hall
Champlain Hall was built in 2005 and is a four-floor, suite-style building. Each suite either houses four people (in two double rooms) or six people (in three double rooms). Each suite also has a common area, two full bathrooms, and a kitchenette with a full refrigerator, microwave, countertops, and cabinets.
Champlain Hall is the closest residence hall to the Marine Science Center (MSC) and the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ beach. There is also an open green space on the backside of the building.
This residence hall is named in honor of Samuel de Champlain in recognition of his historic contribution to the Biddeford-Saco area.

East and West Halls
East and West Halls were built in 2002 and are each four-floor, suite-style buildings. Suites within East and West Halls are four-person with four single bedrooms. Each suite also has a common area, two bathrooms, and a kitchenette area with a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, microwave, countertops, and cabinets.
East and West Halls are located behind the Campus Center and offer a short walk to the beach.

Featherman Hall
Featherman Hall was built in 2007 and is a four-floor, track-style building. Track-style is designed with twenty-four rooms total (twelve on each side of a lobby) placed around restrooms and shower stalls in the center of each side. Featherman is a first-year residence hall with triple-style rooms.
This residence hall is named in honor of ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµâ€™s fourth president Sandra Featherman for her leadership and service to the University.
